On Thursday, comedian Dave Chappelle saw members of his audience walk out during a show in Boston after he condemned the United States for supporting Israel's response to the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Chappelle opened by condemning the Hamas terror attack, but said that Israel was committing "war crimes in Gaza" and that the US was aiding the country in "the slaughter of innocent civilians."

At one point in the show, Chappell mentioned how he doesn't believe those who have protested in support of Hamas should lose their jobs for doing so, which drew one audience member to tell him to "shut up."

When the comedian condemned Israel for cutting off essentials to Gaza, such as water, some in the audience cheered yelling "Free Palestine," others shouted, "What about Hamas," and some got up and left.

According to the report, Chappelle's final note on the matter was to say that "two wrongs don't make a right."

Since the Oct. 7, attack on Israel where over 1,500 people were killed and thousands more injured Palestinian authorities are reporting that more than 4,300 have been killed by Israeli airstrikes.

Pro-Hamas protests have taken place across the US and the world with some losing their jobs, for their support of them. At Harvard, one student group blamed Israel for the Hamas attack, which caused one of its donors to resign from their position on the executive board when the school's president, Claudine Gay, took too long to condemn the student org.

More recently, an Illinois attorney in the state comptroller's office, Sarah Chowdhury, was fired after it was revealed on Friday that she had made antisemitic statements in social media messages. The reported messages included, "Vermin should have all been killed decades ago," "Hopefully someone sends you anthrax or poison and you die a slow terrible death" and "Hitler should have eradicated all of you."
