Trump calls for anti-Israel leftist groups to be banned from American universities

President Donald Trump took aim at American universities on Saturday after a week of grotesque, pro-Hamas protests took place at campuses across the country. This in the wake of a violent attack on Israel by Palestinian terror group Hamas on October 7.

Protests in favor of Hamas and against Israel were staged on the campuses of America's top universities, including the Ivy Leagues Harvard, Yale, and Columbia. George Mason, University of Washington, University of Michigan, Penn State, UPenn (Trump's alma mater), NYU, and still others saw students come out in favor of the terrorists who murdered more than 1,300 civilians, including women, children and the elderly.

"What happened in Israel was barbaric!" Trump said, who in a different post said outright that he stands with the US long-term ally Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Now American Universities are allowing or enabling the open hatred against Israel and America!" Trump said. "Instead of educating our young Americans, Deans stand idly by while subversive groups are calling for a National Day of Resistance. Not only is this antisemitic, it is also anti-American. Students have begged Deans to throw these subversive groups off campus. We banned Nazis, banned Communists, it is about time that we remove these antisemites from our schools or is the Cancel Culture only used against Conservatives?"

Many donors called for the withdrawal of funds and the refusal to contribute more money to universities that actively support voices that call for the extermination of Israel and support terrorism. At the University of Washington, students chanted "no peace on stolen land," and "there is only one solution, intifada revolution" while flying Palestinian flags. 

At George Mason, Mary Margaret Olohan found protesters supporting Hamas and not believing that atrocities were committed against Israel.

The push of pro-terrorist ideas in American academia has been pointed out and precautioned against by many conservatives, including James Lindsay and Christopher Rufo.

Lindsay recommended that Harvard students be cut out of the job market over the controversy. Several of Harvard student groups signed a letter backing Hamas and Palestinians over Israel after Hamas slaughtered Israelis. This led the Harvard president to speak out in favor of the students' right to express their views, despite this being a university that in recent years has deplatformed people for stating their belief that biological sex is real.

Rufo urged conservatives to "connect the dots" on the connection between radical universities, which are very nearly all of the universities in the US, and the progressive left that is pushing dangerous policies on the country.
