A Minnesota man has been arrested and charged by the FBI for threatening US Attorney General Pam Bondi in a TikTok post that placed a $45,000 bounty on her head. The threat against Bondi comes as there have been a number of attempts to threaten and dox officials in the Trump administration.

The post placing the bounty on Bondi was reported to authorities earlier this month. A post was flagged by a TikTok user in Detroit and it featured a "sniper-scope red dot" on her head. Text to the post read, "WANTED: Pam Bondi. REWARD: 45,000. DEAD OR ALIVE (PREFERABLY DEAD)," according to court documents in the case. The post was traced to Tyler Maxon Avalos, 30, who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

"Additionally, the suspect user's TikTok page had a link to An Anarchist FAQ book pinned to his page. According to open-source research, as well as based on Your Affiant's training and experience, 'anarchism' is a political philosophy and movement that seeks to abolish all institutions that perpetuate authority, coercion, or hierarchy, primarily targeting the state and capitalism. Anarchism advocates for the replacement of the state with stateless societies and voluntary free associations," court documents stated.

The suspect "has a multi-state conviction history including a July 2022 felony stalking conviction from Dakota County, an August 2016 felony third-degree domestic battery from Polk County, Florida, and an April 2016 misdemeanor domestic assault from Dakota County, which appears to have been reduced from a felony domestic assault by strangulation charge," the court documents added.

The social media account also has a pinned post displaying the "political compass" test, with the placement to the far-left as well as a "free Palestine" post pinned.

Avalos also made an appearance before a magistrate in Minneapolis earlier this month. He has been released on a personal recognizance bond last week and is not allowed to access online services without the prior approval of authorities as well as other limitations.
