An all-ages Pride event in Melbourne, Florida on Saturday featured a children's table with sexually explicit books and other pornographic content.

According to Florida Voice News, the Space Coast Pride event, which was marketed as "family-friendly," had a kids' picture book table that included the controversial children's book titled "It's Perfectly Normal," which describes masturbation, shows images of sex positions, and other pornographic content.

"It's Perfectly Normal" has been banned from multiple Florida county public schools, including Broward, Marion, and Orange. The LGBTQ community has claimed that the banning of these sexually explicit books for kids is anti-LGBTQ. Other banned books featured on the table included "I am Jazz" and "When Aidan Became a Brother."

In addition, the children's book table sold "READ BANNED BOOKS" t-shirts and asked for donations to their GoFundMe, according to the outlet.

Adam Tritt, who is a teacher and elected official in Brevard County, Florida, is the organizer of that GoFundMe page, which has raised more than $50 thousand, according to the outlet.

The Space Coast Pride event, which was estimated to have 18,000 people in attendance, also sold "kink" items and included a Drag Show in which the performer had cut out holes exposing their bare buttocks, photos show.

Florida's Voice said they "witnessed at least 50 children in attendance at the festival over the course of one hour."

Republican Rep. Randy Fine (Melbourne Beach) strongly criticized the event, calling it "disgusting."

"I don't understand why these people are so intent on showing stuff to children. It's sick. If you're an adult, have at it, but I just don't understand the desire to groom, I don't get it, it's disgusting," Fine told the outlet.

"The problem with these people is they conflate it – they conflate criticizing it being shown to children as criticizing it in general, it's like they can't do it it doesn't involve children, and I don't understand it," Fine explained.
