Ed Rollins, the veteran Republican strategist who managed Ronald Reagan’s 1984 landslide re-election campaign, has announced the formation of a new political action committee (PAC) to back Bill Spadea’s bid for governor of New Jersey

Named the “Rebuilding New Jersey PAC,” the initiative is intended to assist Spadea’s campaign efforts by utilizing Rollins’ decades of political experience and network. The PAC will focus on grassroots mobilization, voter education, and media campaigns to support Spadea’s candidacy.

Rollins is a longtime political strategist whose biggest achievements include managing Reagan’s re-election campaign. The 1984 campaign resulted in the Republicans winning 49 states in a sweeping electoral college victory.

“Bill Spadea represents the conservative values and leadership New Jersey needs. His radio career listening to the people of New Jersey every morning as they drive their children to school and head to work, makes him the best candidate to clean up Trenton and rebuild New Jersey. Bill Spadea is not only the future of New Jersey, he is one of the future leaders of the Republican Party,” Rollins stated, according to EIN Presswire.

Spadea is a marine veteran and radio personality on New Jersey 101.5. His morning show has touched on a number of conservative issues, including public safety, lower taxes, and education reform.

Spadea is one of several Republicans running for governor in the state, with the primaries including State Senator Jon Bramnick, former State Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, and State Senator Ed Durr.

Democratic Governor Phil Murphy is ineligible to seek a third term due to term limits. New Jersey is one of only two states holding gubernatorial elections this year.
