Fundraiser for women's rights group shut down after accusations of 'transphobia'

The crowdfunding platform GiveButter has shut down the fundraising of British women’s rights campaigner Kellie-Jay Keen, who is currently touring the US holding Let Women Speak events and facing aggression and intimidation from militant trans activists and Antifa at almost every stop along the way.

In a notice shared on Twitter by Post Millennial editor-at-large Andy Ngo, GiveButter informed Keen that after a thorough review of the Standing for Women account, their Content Moderation Team had determined they were unable to support her usage of the platform and that they would be deactivating her account. No reason was given.

“Militant #trans activists & #Antifa have assaulted, threatened & surrounded the women for protesting for women's protections in law,” said Ngo in the tweet.

The GiveButter community guidelines state that users of the platform must: "agree not to use the Services to raise funds or establish or contribute to any campaign with the implicit or explicit purpose of or involving:

"Hate, discrimination, and harassment: content that we deem, in our sole discretion, to be in support of hate, violence, harassment, bullying, discrimination, terrorism, or intolerance of any kind relating to race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender or gender identity, or mental, physical, or other medical conditions."

Keen’s Let Women Speak tour, the purpose of which is to give ordinary women the opportunity to talk about how they believe the modern trans rights movement is impacting women and girls, has been plagued with violence and threats of violence by trans rights extremists.

The Portland event had to be canceled after multiple serious threats of violence against the women, including one Antifa leader organizing a counter-protest and openly attempting to fundraise to buy weapons.

Then, last week in Tacoma Washington, Keen had to call off the speaking event early after a middle-aged lesbian was assaulted by a far-left male activist and a man reportedly said he was going to kill someone.

Yet, it would appear that according to GiveButter, it is the women gathering to speak about the erosion of their rights who are the ones supporting hate and violence, and therefore they do not deserve to be allowed to fundraise to pay for security to protect them from angry aggressive men who disagree with their views.

An alternative option for donations was posted on the Standing for Women Twitter account.
