George Clooney is being blamed by some for Vice President Kamala Harris losing to Donald Trump, after the Hollywood star, 63, predicted the people would stop Trump from becoming the next president, the Daily Mail Reported.

Democrats are looking for anyone to blame Harris’s loss and Clooney sees a likely reason. Clooney said he tried to find other alternatives to President Joe Biden after he worked to remove him from the Democratic presidential ticket.

"George feels that the backlash he is getting for Kamala losing is not at all warranted," a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. "He thinks it is completely unfair to try and make him a scapegoat for her loss.

"He has backed the Democratic Party and invested so much time and money into them, but he is going to take a step back for now. He feels very disheartened.”

They continued: “When he wrote his op-ed, George did not say 'Biden is not fit to be president, choose Kamala.' The Democrats removed President Joe Biden as their presidential nominee..

"George believes that they should have taken a step back and looked at their options. The piece was published less than a month after Clooney raised $30million at a fundraiser for Biden's re-election campaign.

Clooney was one of he first celebrities to demand that Biden drop out of the Democratic presidential race, submitting an op ed in The New York Times that was reportedly written on orders from former President Barack Obama. The two often work together on Democratic strategy. "While Obama did not encourage or advise Clooney to say what he said, he also didn’t object to it," Politico reported, citing "people familiar with their exchange." Both men were in attendance at a recent Hollywood fundraiser bash to raise funds for Biden's re-election campaign.
