Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was arrested on Saturday along with nearly 100 protesters at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri while protesting the Israel-Hamas war.

A video posted by Stein's account on X showed the candidate with handcuffs on and being walked out of the area by police, while one person said, "Jill Stein's arrested."

"We're standing here with the students of WashU, standing up for our constitutional rights," she said in a video taken just before her arrest. She also expressed that the protesters were "standing up for the American people who want to end this genocide now."

"The police are gathered here," Stein added as she turned and pointed to them. "We are going to stand here in line with the students who are standing up for democracy, Standing up for human rights, standing up to end genocide."

In another post, a video showed the police pushing into the crowd with bikes as they violently began arresting people. "It's shameful that university administrations are condoning the use of force against their own students who are simply calling for peace, human rights, and an end to a genocide that the American people abhor," Stein's account read.

Along with Stein, her campaign manager and deputy campaign manager were also arrested in the incident. All of them were released around 2 AM on Sunday.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Stein's campaign manager Jason Call said, "The demand from the encampment was specifically for the university to divest from Boeing, which manufactures munitions used in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza at their nearby St. Charles facility."

"The Stein campaign supports the demands of the students and their peaceful protest and assembly on campus," he continued. "Student protest for peace and civil liberties has always represented the best part of our collective moral conscience. Solidarity."

The Washington University protest is one of many that have taken place across college campuses trying to force schools to divest from organizations that have ties to Israel.
