"The Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It's the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord."
Celebrity Gwen Stefani encouraged her fans to pray and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during the upcoming Christmas season this year in a video she released in the days leading up to the holiday. She invited those watching to a prayer challenge on the Hallow app.
Stefani released the video in partnership with the prayer app, which has partnered up with several Christian celebrities ahead of the holidays, per the Blast. The wife of Blake Shelton and Grammy-winning singer has joined Jonathan Roumie, Kevin James, Lauren Daigle, Bear Grylls and in challenging their fans to use the Catholic prayer app for the 25 days leading up to Christmas, or the four weeks of Advent.
She released the video with Hallow in late November. She stated in the video release, "The Christmas season has always been my favorite time of the year. It's the season that we get to celebrate the birth of our Lord."
"This year, I'm excited to share that I've partnered with this amazing prayer meditation and music app called Hallow on their 25-day prayer challenge leading up to Christmas called Advent Pray 25," she continued. "Join me and millions of other Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us. is only God. Download Hallow and join me in praying every day. God bless."
Stefani was raised Catholic, however the partnership with Hallow has reportedly "shocked" her fans. The Hallow app offers materials for an Advent calendar as well as prayer routines for individuals of faith.
