Hunter Biden mugshot taken, not released to public

“What is so special about a mugshot that they don't want us to see?"

Pundits are demanding the release of Hunter Biden’s mugshot after a CNN report revealed that the first son was “…previously fingerprinted and had his mug shot taken when he was in court in July.”

The article reported that President Joe Biden’s son plans to plead not guilty to federal gun charges and has asked for his initial court appearance to be held remotely according to a court filing Tuesday.

“Hunter Biden was previously fingerprinted and had his mug shot taken when he was in court in July when his plea deal collapsed. Because it was in federal court, the photo was not made public,” the outlet reported.

On Tuesday, Fox News host Jesse Watters called for the mugshot to be released and revealed that his staff had filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Department of Justice and the US Marshall’s Service to obtain the picture.

Watters noted that “…federal inmates rarely have their mugshots released to the public. Only in cases where the federal inmate escapes, and a leak would be very unlikely.”

Watters asked, “What is so special about a mugshot that they don't want us to see? Did he smile? Did he look defiant? You know, in light of transparency, this mugshot must be released.”

Biden was indicted on felony gun charges in the state of Delaware last week after a plea deal fell through earlier this summer that would have let him off the hook for the charges, assuming he complied with certain stipulations.

The president’s son is accused of lying on an FBI background check form in order to purchase a firearm, claiming he was not a drug user when, in fact, he was, as he revealed in his own memoir, "Beautiful Things".
