INFILTRATED: Far-left NYC group pushes narrative that immigration enforcement is ‘ethnic cleansing’

A New York City-based far-left group has said that it will push to frame the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown efforts as an "ethnic cleansing." This comes amid the immigration crackdown in Minnesota, with state and local leaders demanding that Immigration and Customs Enforcement get out of the state.

In video obtained by former teacher Paul Rossi, one of the members said during a meeting that took place last week, "As a group, Rise and Resist has struggled with terminology, with embracing terminology. We had to struggle with using the term 'Abolish ICE.' Look where that is now. We had to struggle with using the term 'fascism' and 'fascist.' Look where that is now. We struggled with using the term 'Gestapo.' Look where that is now."

"The most mainstream pundits are using these terms. And now we’re gonna start—we’re gonna lead with: this is ethnic cleansing. Call it what it is," she added.

In the wake of the weekend’s shooting of anti-ICE agitator Alex Pretti, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz told Americans to "quit referring to these people as law enforcement. They are not law enforcement." He also claimed that children in the state are "hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside," adding, "Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank. Somebody is gonna write that story about Minnesota, and there’s one person who can end this now."

In the wake of a separate shooting of an anti-ICE agitator earlier in the month, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey told ICE to "get the f*ck out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety, and you are doing exactly the opposite."

Rise and Resist is behind a number of events in New York City, including the weekly "Truth Tuesdays" protest outside Fox News’ headquarters, as well as a weekly "Immigration Vigil." On Friday, the group took part in a large rally and protest in the city dubbed "ICE Out for Good: NYC Stands with Minneapolis."
