"This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us."
A newly surfaced video linked to Iran titled "How to Kill Melania Trump" depicts a simulated assassination of First Lady Melania Trump. The animated video shows her motorcade traveling through the streets of New York City as a narrator claims that fashion is her "greatest weakness." It urges so-called "freedom fighters" to target the first lady and concludes with a threat directed at her son, Barron Trump, saying, "This is just the beginning. Barron Trump, wait for us."
The threats come at a time when US-Iran relations are at a precarious point as President Trump pursues a military objective aimed at depriving the Iranian government of the ability to develop nuclear weapons. While releasing a video targeting the First Lady marks a new escalation in the conflict, the Iranian government has not shied away from rhetoric calling for the assassination of President Trump. Recent billboards in Tehran's Enghelab Square depict Trump lying in a coffin with graffiti reading, "We Will Kill Trump," in both Persian and English, The New York Times reports.
Newsweek reports that the Secret Service is aware of the video and is investigating the potential threat.
At another time, a state-sponsored billboard in Iran's capital depicted Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and their children Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and Barron Trump standing above coffins beneath the slogan, "Blood for Blood," The Telegraph reports.
Trump has not been shy about his stance on Iran's threats against his life, posting a grave warning to the regime on Truth Social in July.
"1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME," he wrote.
Iranian officials have repeatedly denied directing or supporting assassination plots against American leaders, even as Iranian-sponsored media outlets and affiliated groups have continued to promote inflammatory rhetoric.

This is the work of Mossad not Iran. Killing Melania or Baron would increase American public support for a war Americans don't want. Iran targets US assets in the GCC dictatorships, & has been highly successful in reducing US power in the region. They're chess masters. They're not going to dump the board on the floor. The calls for revenge & posters during the funeral were the Iranian public, not the government. 40M people were in the streets of Iran during the largest gathering of people in history, a large percentage of that group wanting revenge. That doesn't mean their government is going to act on those impulses. They have no need to. They're already winning.
