A jailed pedophile has launched a lawsuit, claiming emotional damages from President-elect Donald Trump for $30,000 and accusing him of making "racist" remarks when he warned that many illegal immigrants were taking "black jobs."

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Anthony Sharp, a 58-year-old sex offender who was convicted of possessing child porn in 2016, claims that when Trump used the term "black job" on national television, it was hurtful to the descendants of slaves.

"What Trump said on national TV was downright racist as this particular defendant has a well-known history of making such comments," the lawsuit read. "Immigrants are stealing black jobs, just to make that statement alone is racist as well as slanderous to me and my family, because what is a black job? Well let me tell you what a black job is, really from a black point of view a black job is considered picking cotton – peanuts etc. for their slave masters."

Sharp appears to have taken offense when Trump referred to "black jobs" in different political speeches like when he said illegal immigrants are taking the jobs of black Americans. "Coming from the border are millions and millions of people who happen to be taking black jobs," Trump said to the National Association of Black Journalists during the campaign.

Some black celebrities as well as well as others took issue with the phrase. Michelle Obama, for example, said at the Democratic National Convention, "Who's going to tell [Trump] that the job he's currently seeking might be one of those black jobs?" referring to the presidency.

The lawsuit was filed on October 28, but it is unclear how Trump is going to respond. Sharp is serving 25 years to life behind bars in California.
