The LGBTQ fesitavate that included "the absolute cutest & youngest of our drag performers" and an 11-year-old drag queen with the stage name "Kween Kee Kee."
The Democrat running for Senate against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton headlined an LGBTQ festival that included "the absolute cutest & youngest of our drag performers" and an 11-year-old drag queen with the stage name "Kween Kee Kee."
The event was held on June 26, 2021 with Taylor PRIDE, a group in the town of Taylor, Texas. The event was put on to raise money for "rural LGBTQ communities." Included in the events was a slate of pro-LGBTQ speakers, a "drag story hour," and adult drag performers.
Talarico as well as Kween Kee Kee, whose real name is Keegan, were one of the largest attractions for the event. "[Taylor PRIDE] will be hosting numerous speakers such as State Rep. James Talarico, talented musical guests such as Venus Loves Mars, the absolute cutest & youngest of our drag performers Kween Kee Kee," the group wrote in materials to advertise the event.

"Not only … will this amazing pre-teen be performing a number at Texas Beer Company but they will also host Kee Kee Storytime … where children will find lots of PRIDE inspired craft activities," the post added.
Talarico is currently running against Paxton for a Senate seat to replace incumbent Senator John Cornyn, who lost to Paxton in the primary. Despite Talarico's attempt to shift to the middle during the election season, the attendance at the pride event with an 11-year-old drag queen may be considered a little too much for more moderate voters.
Kween Kee Kee was seen doing the splits in video that was posted to social media. After the event, Taylor PRIDE claimed that a conservative group "ridiculed & protested" the activities for being sexually explicit and exploitation of a child."
Talarico's attendance at the event underscores some of his more progressive past, including comments such as that "God is nonbinary."
