Jasmine Crockett's staff says she's 'never in the office,' focused 'almost exclusively on being an influencer': report

"She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bullsh*t that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things," the former aide said.

Congressional aides have revealed what it’s like to work for Rep Jasmine Crockett, a Texas Republican frequently making headlines for comments attacking Trump and other GOP leaders. She recently called the president "a piece of sh*t."

One insider told the New York Post that Crockett is frequently not in her Longworth House Office building suite, but rather working from her luxury apartment building nearby. The former aide said, "She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them."

"She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bullsh*t that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things," the former aide said.

A second source close to Crockett’s team said, "It is widely known that she’s not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents. She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress."

A third source who had worked with Crockett described the Texas Democrat as being "all diva, no wow."

When Crockett does go to the Hill, she reportedly has staffers pick her up in rented vehicles, rather than the staffers’ own cars, an option commonly used by other lawmakers. The vehicle, which staffers are expected to stand outside of to open the door for her, "has to be an Escalade" or a similar higher-end vehicle.

"You’re technically allowed to do this but it’s wildly inefficient. Instead of using the scheduler’s car, she rents a car every week in DC," one source told the outlet. "She expects her staff to drive her around while she’s in the back seat." They called it a "power play" similar to "treating the staffer like an Uber driver."
