On Tuesday, Mackenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced that she would be donating over $640 million to charity, most of which to extremely far-left causes.

According to the New York Post's analysis of the announced 361 gifts through Scott's organization, Yield Giving, $122 million was allocated to 67 organizations assisting with illegal immigrant advocacy. The Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition each received $2 million of that to fight immigration enforcement.

Scott also allocated $72 million to 43 different organizations pushing gender ideology and other LGBTQ issues, with $16 million going to organizations advocating to allow trans-identified males to compete in female sports.

A $2 million donation was given to the Gender Justice organization, which has won lawsuits to allow gender-questioning males to play sports with females. The non-profit's executive director, Morgan Peterson, applauded the donation, saying that it, "could not have come at a more crucial time."

Peterson went on to claim that there is "a conservative legal movement threatening our fundamental rights here in Minnesota, North Dakota, and across the United States.” Peterson added that the organization's mission is "Building and sustaining a world free of gender barriers requires community organization, education, and changing the ways we talk and think about gender."

On the Yield Giving website, Scott stated in 2019 that she had "a disproportionate amount of money to share." She added, "My approach to philanthropy will continue to be thoughtful. It will take time effort and care. But I won’t wait. And I will keep at it until the safe is empty."

The organization reports, "To date, our network of staff and advisors has yielded over $17,300,000,000 to 2,300+ non-profit teams to use as they see fit for the benefit of others."

In reaction to the announcement, senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation Mike Gonzalez told the Post, "Bezos’ [ex]wife is using the profits he made through capitalism to [fund] the rope that will hang capitalism."

"These things that she’s donating money to, whether it’s transgender ideas, helping illegals, prisoner rights, climate change, they’re all trying to transform our system away from capitalism," Gonzalez added.

When Scott and Bezos divorced in 2019, Scott received a substantial $38.3 billion in stock from the business, making her the third richest woman in the world. She launched Yield Giving in 2022 and requested organizations with a mission "to advance the voices and opportunities of individuals and families of meager or modest means” to apply for her donations.
