Speaking to voters, Joe Biden appeared confused as to who he was running against, thinking that it was 20 years ago and he was facing George W. Bush in the presidential race.
"This is the most consequential—not because I'm running, but because of who I'm running against. This is the most consequential election in a long, long, long, long time.
"And the character of the country, in my view, is literally on the ballot, what kind of country we're going to be. Four more years of George, uh, George uh ee, we're gonna find ourselves in a position where uh, if Trump gets elected we're gonna be uh, we're gonna be in a different world."
Joe Biden was joined by his wife Dr. Jill Biden. He corrected the gaff and appeared to remember that Trump, not Bush, was on the ballot. It is not clear what "new world" he believes we will be ushered into by the reelection of the incumbent president.
