Jussie Smollett was spotted raising a fist at a Black Lives Matter protest outside Trump Tower in New York City on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

Smollett was seen wearing a gray baseball hat and an orange face mask outside Trump Tower to take part in a protest meant to address systemic racism and police brutality amid the death of George Floyd.

The Daily Mail reported that Smollett was identified by his distinct "equal sign" tattoo on his right arm, though it is unclear how many different activist groups showed up and which one he was there to represent.

By evening, a large group of protesters erected a banner outside the tower on Fifth Avenue that read "Trump/Pence #OutNow," while another flag was hoisted that said "Revolution Now!"

Trump Tower has not only been at the center of protests in recent weeks, but a Black Lives Matter mural that is painted outside Trump Tower has been covered by counter-protesters a number of times in the last two weeks.

Again:

Smollett has come under heavy scrutiny for accusations that he staged a fake attack on himself in 2019, saying that the perpetrators hurled racial and homophobic slurs at him in Chicago as they assaulted him.

He is now facing down a $130,000 lawsuit from the city of the Chicago, where authorities have charged him with "lying and setting up the hoax attack," the Daily Mail reported.
