Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been awarded the National Geographic Planetary Leadership Award. He was awarded for his efforts to protect 25 percent of Canada’s vast land and oceans by 2025.
“In recognition of his leadership in the protection of Canada’s marine and terrestrial life, we are pleased to present Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada with the Planetary Leadership Award,” National Geographic tweeted.
This comes as a shock to some environmental activists as Justin Trudeau's government has yet to plant a single tree in his campaign to plant 2 billion.
