Kim Kardashian has just released a video for the iconic Christmas song Santa Baby that sees her crawling around on the floor during what appears to be the tail end of a drug-fueled rager of a Christmas party. Many who saw the video said it was essentially sacrilegious as it portrayed Christian iconography and Christmas itself as a hedonistic enterprise.

The video, produced by Travis Barker, is some kind of cross between Valley of the Dolls, Twin Peaks and a John Waters retrospective. Nuns are passed out on the floor, elves are thieving gifts from under the tree, and smoking, drinking, and gambling are just part of the background. One X account said it looked like "the aftermath of a Diddy party."

In an era where the innocent, iconic "Baby, It's Cold Outside" has been canceled for being "rapey," it's definitely unexpected to see Kardashian, as a blonde bombshell, crawling up into Santa's lap only to find that he's filming her. Perhaps Kardashian is signaling that we're done canceling cultural moments over perceived offenses, indicating that Christmas isn't about Jesus but is about piles of cocaine, cash, and trash, or maybe she just wanted to crawl around on the floor in a vain effort to be as seductive as Eartha Kitt, which is a hard sell.

The concerns over "Baby It's Cold Outside" were that a man was attempting to spend the night with a woman and apparently that is just too vulgar and horrific. Kardashian's rendition of "Santa Baby" shows her crawling on a filthy floor with mountains of fake snow, passed-out elves, and cash while wearing clothes that leave little to the imagination  (perhaps from her Skims line?) as she's filmed by a less than wholesome Santa.

"This is an example of low art groping toward high art, but because it’s Kim Kardashian, it’s just a Skims ad," said cultural commentator Art Tavana.

Backlash ensued on X, with people saying it's a mockery of Christianity. "Kim Kardashian decided working for Satanic pedophile promoting Balenciaga wasn’t enough — she just had to mock Christianity with this demonic garbage two days before Christmas. I rebuke this in the name of Jesus Christ!" Said Liz Crokin.

Justine Bateman also hated it, saying "This Kardashian video is completely repulsive with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Truly revolting. What was the goal except to show the grown baby from TRAINSPOTTING crawling through some nightmare. What is she contributing to society except degradation of the human spirit?"

Mom Jasmine Keith said, "Kim Kardashian showing the world she’ll never be anything other than a trashy whore."
