The Independent Press Gallery of Canada have delivered a rather terse statement, explaining that Wednesday night's debate (in its previous format) will no longer go ahead as planned.

This was due to the fact that Dr. Leslyn Lewis pulled out of the debate due to an ear infection. In her statement, Dr. Lewis explained that dropped out on the advice of her doctor.

Peter MacKay, inexplicably, chose to stand in solidarity with Dr. Lewis, saying that "to be fair to all" the debate must be postponed.

The Independent Press Gallery of Canada explained why Dr. Lewis dropped out. They then stated that "Peter MacKay lives in Toronto but has chosen not to attend the debate."

As a result of all this, the debate has transitioned into a "fireside chat" format, where Derek Sloan and Erin O'Toole will discuss what they think the future of the party will be.
