"Today's SCOTUS works to proactively diminish the rights and opportunities of the people of the United States. Biden can get around this."

Progressives began to meltdown on Twitter on Thursday over the Supreme Court decision to strike down the Biden Administration's student loan forgiveness plan.

Democrat candidate for President Marianne Williamson declared that she would "expand the court," to get around the latest SCOTUS rulings. "Today's SCOTUS works to proactively diminish the rights and opportunities of the people of the United States," she said. "Biden can get around this."

"As President, I will expand the Court if necessary," she said. "Nothing in the Constitution says it's limited to 9 justices. We must also introduce ethics rules for SCOTUS justices, and consider term limits. Our current SCOTUS has gone rogue in service to their corporatist sponsors."

"It is very important to note this SCOTUS ruling does NOT remove Biden’s ability to pursue student loan forgiveness," said New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. "The Biden Admin can use the HEA (Higher Ed Act) - our position from the start - to continue loan forgiveness before payments resume. They should do so ASAP."

Fellow "Squad" member Cori Bush also called on Biden to "use every tool available" to cancel student loan debt.

Senator Elizabeth Warren claimed POTUS still has tools that he can use to cancel student loan debt. "The same Supreme Court that overturned Roe now refuses to follow the plain language of the law on student loan cancellation. This fight is not over. The President has more tools to cancel student debt — and he must use them," she said.

"More than 40 million hard-working Americans are waiting for the help that President Biden promised them, and they expect this administration to throw everything they’ve got into the fight until they make good on this commitment," Warren added.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer accused the court of hypocrisy. He said, "As justices accept lavish, six-figure gifts, they don’t dare to help Americans saddled with student loan debt, instead siding with the powerful, big-monied interests."

In an interview with MSNBC, Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar claimed the court had racial motivations in their ruling. "What you're seeing is severe backlash in the sense that people do not want to see black and brown people excel in this country," she said.

"I think it's really something that is unfortunate that we have to pay attention to and allow the courts to legitimize and license discrimination in this kind of way. We lead makes our country that we want it to be not the kind of future that we want to push forward," Omar added.

In a thread, New York Congressman Jamaal Bowman said the court’s decision "demolished the possibility of financial freedom for 43 million Americans."

Rep Pramila Jayapal called for the court to be expanded, stating that "extreme MAGA Republicans and the right-wing Supreme Court majority fought to take that relief away."

"I vehemently disagree with this decision," wrote Rep. Ayanna Pressley. "The Court put monied interests above the law and the will of the people today."

Leftist publication The More Perfect Union claimed in a video that the Supreme Court is "far-right" and abused its power in the student loan ruling and this isn't the end of the fight on this issue.

"The Supreme Court just killed your student," it said. don't let anyone tell you this is the end of the story. The Biden administration still has the legal authority to cancel student debt, because Congress already authorized it."

"There are many tools that the secretary can use, and in particular, the Secretary already has the authority and the president can direct the Secretary to use the authority to cancel student loans under the Higher Education Act under the provisions which allowed them to settle, compromise, modify and waiver any of the debts in their portfolio," it claimed.

"It's no surprise that this far-right corrupt Supreme Court has decided to strike down relief deciding in favor of a plaintiff that doesn't have standing, a harm that never happened, and false claims that were never checked. This baseless decision creates disastrous new legal precedents while striking down a completely legal policy that millions of people have planned their futures around. But this doesn't have to be the end of the story. Regardless of this ruling, the law is clear. President Biden still has the legal authority to cancel student debt." the video concluded.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Bidens student loan forgiveness plan was unconstitutional after the administration argued that it had the authority to "forgive" student loans under the Heroes Act.
