US Senator Lindsey Graham pledged a donation of $500,000 to the legal defense fund of US President Donald Trump, to help with the campaign's legal challenges to alleged election fraud in several states.

Graham went on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News on Thursday night, where he talked about his moral and now financial support for the Trump campaign.

"I'm here tonight to stand with President Trump. He stood with me, he's the reason we're going to have a Senate majority... He helped Senate Republicans. We're going to pick up House seats because of the campaign that President Trump won. I'm going to donate $500,000 tonight to President Trump's defense legal fund."

Graham also talked on the show about issues like how the mainstream media allegedly skews polling data in order to "suppress Republican votes."

"I've been on your show; you've raised a ton of money for me. Your audience was incredibly helpful to lindseygraham.com.... give to donaldjtrump.com so we will have the resources."

Graham continued: "The allegations of wrongdoing are earth shattering."

"Every Senate Republican and House Republican needs to get on television and tell this story."

Trump had made these claims himself in a press conference delivered on Thursday evening, when he claimed he had proof of election tampering.
