Liz Truss at CPAC calls for 'Trump-style revolution' in Europe, warns against American 'deep state'

Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss took the stage at CPAC in Dallas where she described the current state of England and Europe, and issue a warning to America if changes aren't made.

"We have an elite who have been in power for at least the last 40 years who fundamentally don't like Western civilization, and they want to destroy it," Truss said.

She described how globalists have managed to capture universities, mainstream media, the corporate sector, and bureaucracy. She said the right "did not do enough to take them on," highlighting net zero, DEI, and the growth of Islamism. "That is the fundamental problem."

"And now I've called for a Trump-style revolution. That is what we need in Britain, that is what we need in Europe, because most people in our country don't agree with all this stuff," she said. "They don't want their country taken over."

Truss said Muslim grooming gangs in the UK began in the 70s but were covered up because it was believed to be "racist to even question what was going on," and now people are being censored and facing legal action for speaking out.

"I did not realize how bad it was until I got into government, until I got to the top of government, and I saw the way it actually operated. And that has convinced me that we need to completely change the way our country is run."

She warned that "It's coming over here in America," naming New York City MayorZohran Mamdani and the state of California as having "the same forces working in your society, and we are at war with those people. We are in a war for the future of Western civilization."

Truss spoke of need to fully eliminate the forces pushing wokeism, transgender ideology, and Islamism, urging President Trump that "While you have power, you need to do all you can to change them and remove them," lamenting how more should have been done in the wake of British PM Tony Blair.

"We should have reversed every single law that Tony Blair passed. We should have got rid of the people he had embedded in the government, but we didn't, and that is deeply regrettable now."

She closed her remarks by asking for help fighting those forces in Europe, "because if you don't help us defeat them in Europe, they're coming for you next."
