Dozens have been arrested for looting, arson, and even attempted murder as well as other crimes in Los Angeles, as violence continued in the deep blue city into Sunday night. Riots erupted over the weekend in reaction to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducting operations in the region.

At least 42 arrests were made on Sunday in response to riots and violence taking place on the streets of LA, according to NCB4 Los Angeles. Charges against those who have been arrested include attempted murder, looting, assault with a deadly weapon on officers, arson, among others. Details about the attempted murder have not been made public.

Mass looting broke out as the police received reports from businesses being broken into and looted on social media. "Business owners are reporting stores are being looted in the area of 6th St and Broadway. Officers are enroute to the location to investigate," the LAPD posted late on Sunday night, and instructed people to report criminal activity in the area

A YouTuber was able to capture footage of a shoe store getting looted. In another instance, a T-Mobile got looted as the chaos continued.

Looters were also seen rampaging through a gas station’s convenience store, per Newsweek. In addition to videos capturing the looting taking place on social media, the rioters were seen throwing rocks, bottles, and Molotov cocktails at police cars on Sunday afternoon.

"This violence that I've seen is disgusting," LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said in a press conference. "It's escalated now. What we saw the first night was bad. What we've seen subsequent to that is getting increasingly worse and more violent."

There were also commercial-grade fireworks being launched at police on Sunday. "That can kill you," McDonnell added in the press briefing.
