The photo of alleged terrorist Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi has been released after the he was charged with planning a terrorist attack on Election Day. When pressed, Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas did not have an answer for why the admin allowed the Afghan immigrant with apparently terrorist leanings into the country.

This week, FBI agents arrestedTawhedi, 27, of Oklahoma City, OK after an investigation into the Afghan man discovered that he was stockpiling automatic weapons in order plan a terrorist attack on Election Day. It was also discovered that Tawhedi was paroled into the United States by DHS. His photo has been released, as reported by KOCO. On Thursday, a reporter pressed Mayorkas on about the alleged terrorist coming into the country.

"How was this man brought into the US? What screening did he undergo? What did he apply for to get here?" a reporter asked Mayorkas.

Mayorkas declined to answer the question, saying that it was not the right setting to do so, and spoke about the crisis of Hurricane Milton, "I'm here in North Carolina, communicating with the individuals who are still conducting search and rescue operations, over 200 people have lost their lives in hurricane Helene. We have reports that at least 10 individuals have lost their lives as a result of Hurricane Milton. I'd be very pleased to answer your question in a different setting, but we're here to talk about emergencies and the support that we can deliver to people in desperate need."

The White House, when asked about Tawhedi, declined to comment on the specific case, but said that every Afghan National is screened and vetted when they enter the US.

A statement from the FBI on Tuesday read, "According to a criminal complaint filed today, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, conspired and attempted to provide material support to ISIS and obtained firearms and ammunition to conduct a violent attack on U.S. soil in the name of ISIS. As part of the plot, the defendant allegedly took steps to liquidate his family’s assets, resettle members of his family overseas, acquire AK-47 assault rifles and ammunition, and commit a terrorist attack in the United States.”
