"Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting."
While President-elect Donald Trump will be sitting down with President Joe Biden at the White House on Wednesday, Melania Trump has refused to meet with First Lady Jill Biden, reportedly citing the Biden administration’s raid on the Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
A source familiar with Melania Trump’s decision to the New York Post, "She ain’t going," adding, "Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting."
The source continued, "Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet."
The First Lady typically hosts their replacement at the White House for tea. Melania Trump visited the White House in 2016 and received a tour from former First Lady Michelle Obama. In 2020, Trump didn’t invite the Bidens to the White House.
In August 2022, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in relation to their probe of classified documents being taken from the White House to the residence. Trump was later charged in the case, but in July Judge Aileen Cannon threw the case out.
Melania Trump has spoken out against the raid, saying in a September video, "I never imagined my privacy would be invaded by the government here in America. The FBI raided my home in Florida and searched through my personal belongings. This is not just my story. It serves as a warning for all Americans."
Trump revealed after the raid that his wife felt "very violated," and that agents went "into her closet, they go through her dresses, and who knows what else. And it wasn’t left the way they found it."
In a September interview, Melania said the raid "made me angry," adding, "I saw unpleasant stuff that nobody wants to see. And you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff."
