Melania Trump's new memoir “Melania” has hit number one in the US for book sales and the novel is still on pre-order. This comes as the election is heating up between her spouse Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. The book will be coming out at retailers on Oct. 8, about a month before election day. The book has hit the number one spot on Amazon's Books, Memoirs, US Presidents, and Political Leader Biographies lists.

The top selling book, per the EconoTimes, is meant to "set the record straight" on the life of the former first lady, who has said that she has been "the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation” in the media and in America in general. Donald Trump posted a video clip of her in an interview with Fox and Friends as the book hit number one to congratulate his wife.

Donald Trump posted with the video, “CONGRATULATIONS to our incredible former First Lady—as her new book MELANIA hit #1 in the USA! Buy your copy today at MelaniaTrump.com.”

She said in the interview that there is a “lot of misinformation and falsehoods written about me, and I want to put the record straight. And people can learn some things that were never discussed. And I hope they enjoy the book."

The memoir is available for purchase on her website, which reads, "Melania is the powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has defined personal excellence, overcome adversity, and carved her own path."

During the interview with Fox and Friends about the book, Melania Trump spoke about the “miracle” of her spouse surviving two different assassination attempts.

She told Ainsley Earhardt about the experience she went through when she learned of the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"I didn't really see [it] live, but maybe, you know, three minutes, a few minutes later. But when I saw it, I, you know, it was only... Nobody really knew yet. Because when you see him on the floor, and you don't know, you don't know what really happened.”

The book will be releasing "stories and images never before shared with the public," according to the website.
