During a clash with the police officer, the individual was seen punching the cop in the face.
Footage showed the police in line at the Toronto rally. During a clash with the police officer, the individual was seen punching the cop in the face. After hitting the officer, law enforcement took the person to the ground for apparent arrest.
The rally taking place in Toronto was organized in opposition to mass immigration in Canada, but was being countered by far-left as well as Antifa-affiliated agitators as it took place. In addition to the clashes with police, smoke bombs were also thrown into the Canada First rally crowd.
The Canada First rally comes in the wake of the shooting of Renee Good, who was killed by an ICE agent when she ran into him with her car in Minneapolis. The agent, in reaction to the situation, fired his gun multiple times and killed Good. One of the counterprotesters was seen holding a picture of Good during the march.
Rally-goers, despite being countered by the left-wing protesters, were still able to carry out their activities as police escorted the Canada First crowd through the streets of Toronto.
Multiple left-wing agitators countering the Canada First crowd were also arrested by police as they clashed with law enforcement.
The Toronto police announced on X that there were 11 total arrests that took place during the whole event. During the arrests, some chanted "liberals down" as well as "Canada First!" The counter action, along with Antifa, was organized by the Toronto & York Region Labour Council, Urban Alliance on Race Relations, Toronto East Anti-hate Mobilization (TEAM), and some Toronto city councillors, according to Toronto Today.
