A Mississauga man, 74, is facing multiple charges after a number of women found used condoms attached to their vehicles over the last two years throughout the city.

So far, nine women have made similar reports—usually after having parked their vehicles in shopping centres in Mississauga.

Beginning in July 2018, reports of women finding the condoms tied to their cars in the city started being made to Peel Regional Police.

Following a police investigation, authorities said they arrested Peter Melegos on Monday and he is receiving charges including:

  • 11 counts of mischief
  • two counts of criminal harassment
  • one count of committing an indecent act
  • one count of voyeurism

Melegos was released and set to appear in a Brampton court on Sept. 18.

According to investigators, similar incidents have taken place in other GTA cities.

Police describe Melegos as five-feet-eleven, medium build, light complexion, receding hair and thin-framed glasses. He drives a black Honda CR-V.

People with information about similar incidents are asked to contact police at 905-456-5840.
