On MSNBC's Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough suggested former President Donald Trump's comments of a "bloodbath" in the economies of the automobile industry were actually about violence.

"He's talking about a bloodbath for America. It's laid out in the terms of it, and these idiots on Twitter, these idiots on cable news, these idiots on Sunday shows," Scarborough began.

The news personality then mocked others calling out the framing of corporate media outlets for taking Trump's comments out of context, "'President, you know, he was talking only about the auto industry and this is just one more' — It's just bullsh*t."

"Let me say that at 6:15 am, it's just bullsh*t. He knew what he was doing, we're not stupid, Americans aren't stupid. He was talking about a bloodbath. Sometimes a bloodbath means a bloodbath." He further suggested that the comments were about violence and not economics in the country because Trump said the auto industry bloodbath would be the "least of it."

"These people may be stupid, we're not," Scarborough said in his comments on MSNBC.

On Sunday, Scarborough posted video footage of J6 and commented, "Donald Trump's America. And he is proud of it. Promised another "bloodbath" if he loses again."

After Elon Musk responded to the misleading post, "Jan 6 was not a ‘bloodbath’ by any definition and Trump was referring to job losses in the auto industry when he used that word. Your post is extremely misleading," Scarborough deleted the post.

Mainstream media and left-wing influencers have gone hog-wild on what has been dubbed the "bloodbath hoax" by many, by posting the comments of Trump out of context.

Community Notes were issued on several news stories posted on X from outlets such as NBC News but were taken down.
