Murder charge follows Toronto stabbing

Connor Madison has been charged with the murder of Stephon Anton Knights-Roberts, after he is alleged to have stabbed him last week in Toronto.

A 22-year-old man, Connor Madison, has been charged with the murder of Stephon Anton Knights-Roberts, after he is alleged to have stabbed him last week in Toronto, according to CP24.

At around 11:35 p.m. on July 25, Toronto police were called out to the city's east-end on in the are of Ontario and Wellesley Streets following reports of a fight between two people.

By the time officers arrived on the scene, the victim was laying on a pathway that runs through a convenience store and a parkette.

The victim, who was found stabbed, was identified as Toronto resident, Stephon Anton Knights-Roberts, age 30.

According to police, Knights-Roberts suffered multiple stab wounds to his abdomen. He was brought to an area hospital, but it was too later to save him and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

On Saturday, an image of the suspected assailant was released by Toronto police and on Monday evening an arrest was made.

Connor Madison, 22, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Toronto.
