Farrell addressed those who killed Wactor, saying, "if you're watching, I'm sorry but you shot the wrong guy. You can get a real job, like I know the job market's hard, but we're all in it together."
The ex-fiancée of Johnny Wactor has spoken out about his murder, releasing a video in which she pleaded with the actor's suspected killers. Tessa Farrell told them to "get a real job" and stop being criminals, suggesting that those who dedicate their lives to breaking the law can be fixed.
She also took aim at the revolving door justice system in California, calling on elected officials to pass legislation to ensure those who do commit crimes are properly punished.
"It's not ok," Farrell said. "This can't keep happening. So many lives are being lost. We have to be smarter as a community. Guys, if you're watching this, we have to stop being so mean to each other."
"We need some legislation to prevent this from happening," she added. "These criminals can't keep being on the street and they can't keep being sent back and have no repercussions for their actions."
Farrell went on to address those who killed Wactor, saying, "if you're watching, I'm sorry but you shot the wrong guy. You can get a real job, like I know the job market's hard, but we're all in it together. You don't have to steal, you know, especially take a life over it."
"Human life is disregarded too easy, guys," she lamented. "We gotta make some changes as a community. We gotta support each other and come together. Maybe that's what Johnny's gift is for us ... We should find these killers, guys. This guy was a rising star and such a bright soul to this world. We can't keep losing things like this because people are afraid to stand up and do what's right, and Johnny stood up and did what's right all the time."
Wactor, 37, moonlighted as a bartender and was shot dead while walking back to his vehicle with a coworker on Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles by a man who was allegedly attempting to steal his catalytic converter. The killer fled the scene with two other men, all of whom are still at large.
