President-elect Donald Trump was joined by Daniel Penny, Elon Musk, JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, and a host of other allies at the Army-Navy football game on Saturday. Vance had invited Penny to come to the game after he was cleared of all charges in the death of Jordan Neely in New York.
Penny was spotted in the box with Vance in the moments leading up to the game's kick-off, along with many others.
The crowd at the game cheered for Trump as he waved to them from the box seats.
Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), upcoming Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), Trump's pick for Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's nominee for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), and incoming GOP Senator Dave McCormick were spotted in the box alongside Vance and Trump as well.
It was reported that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would also be in attendance at the game with Trump and Vance.
Leading up to the game, Vance praised Penny for his efforts to protect New York residents on the subway when Neely threatened to attack the passengers. "I have not said much about this case out of fear of (negatively) influencing the jury. But thank God justice was done in this case. It was a scandal Penny was ever prosecuted in the first place," Vance posted after the verdict. Penny was acquitted of all charges in the case.
He later revealed that he invited Penny to the game and that the former Marine accepted the invitation.
