During his Philly rally on Saturday, Donald Trump recognized the Gold Star families of slain US military members who passed away during the Afghanistan withdrawal under Joe Biden. Family members of five of the 13 military members slain were present at the rally in Philly on Saturday.

Trump took the time to pause and mention the families of the fallen soldiers who were present, listing off their names and asking the parents to hold up pictures of their children who had fallen in the withdrawal. They had died during a bombing of civilians at the gate of Kabul airport during the botched withdrawal under Joe Biden.

"I want to thank Darin Stan Hoover, Kelly Barnett, parents of Staff Seargent Taylor Hoover," Trump began. He said all the 13 military members who had passed away are all looking down on the families now.

Trump recognized the mother-in-law as well as the aunt of Sgt. Nicole Gee, 23, who was from California. He had the family members hold up the photo of the Gee. Trump then also recognized the parents of Cpl. Hunter Lopez, Herman and Alicia Lopez.

Family members of Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui was also recognized at the rally. "He's looking down, he's proud of his pop," Trump told the family.

“Jim McCollum, father of Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum,” Trump added in his list of those recognized who were at the rally.

“As president I will always defend our military families, we will honor our great veterans, and we will restore peace through strength,” Trump added. The presumed GOP nominee said that he will also prevent World War III if elected to the presidency.

He promised that the Ukraine war with Russia will be settled before he even goes into the White House after the election.
