Differences in media reporting of the ongoing border crisis between the Trump and Biden administrations were highlighted in a Media Research Center video posted to Twitter Tuesday, with media outlets coming down hard on Trump while giving Biden a pass. Under Biden, they call the border crisis by an "inherited issue."
Media coverage of the border crisis under the Trump Administration would repetitively bring up kids and babies in cages. They equated Trump’s actions to those of Nazi Germany, calling Migrant Detention Facilities on the southern border "concentration camps."

"Children are being marched away to showers... It's like the Nazis," Joe Scarborough of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" says in one clip.
Comparatively, under the Biden Administration, many are calling the issue an "inherited issue," pushing the blame elsewhere, and calling the migrant surge at the border a difficult situation for the federal government to deal with. The same Migrant Detention Facilities once considered "concentration camps" under Trump are now being called "complex humanitarian issues" instead.
"There's no denying that this is an incredibly complex humanitarian issue that's, of course, made even more difficult by the fact that we're dealing with this in the midst of a pandemic," said CNN correspondent Lucy Kafanov on "Erin Burnett Outfront."
As of Monday, 4,900 children remain in US Customs and Border Protection custody, according to CNN. 822 of those children have been held for 10 days now in those Border Control facilities far past the 72 hour limit instituted by federal law. Past 72 hours children must be handed over to the Department of Health and Human Services.
