Biden supporters’ ignorance on display as they react to Trump’s ‘coyote’ comment
Many liberal bluecheck accounts on Twitter didn’t even understand that when Trump said “coyote” he was referring to paid smugglers of human beings.

During the third and final presidential debate on Thursday night that dealt with immigration, President Trump brought up the problem of human smuggling, human trafficking, and illegal immigration.
"The children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people," Trump said, "cartels, and they're brought here."

Many liberal bluecheck accounts on Twitter, however, didn't even understand that when Trump said "coyote" he was referring to paid smugglers of human beings. They assumed he was referring to parents as coyotes, or even to the animal itself.
David Hogg exposed his ignorance of immigration by saying that Trump was saying that parents are coyotes.

Multiple accounts seemed to believe that Trump meant coyotes as animals, with author Nancy Lyons noting that "Everyone knows about the migrant baby grabbing coyotes."
Tonight on blue checkmark twitter, they don’t know what coyotes are.

The Federalist's John Davidson, who has deep background in investigations along the US-Mexican border, noted that anyone who has spent any time trying to understand immigration knows what a coyote actually is.
Also, anyone who has paid the slightest bit of attention to the US-MX border over the past 5 yrs is familiar with the term "coyote." The only reason someone would think it's an epithet is bc they are wholly ignorant of how the border works, that's it's rife w human smuggling. https://t.co/Vvqdfsbc5F

"They built cages," Trump said during the debate, referring to the Obama/Biden administration that struggled with immigration over the course of their eight years in office, "Y'know, they used to say I built the cages. And then they had a picture in a certain newspaper. And it was a picture of these horrible cages, and they said 'look at these cages, President Trump built them.' And then it was determined they were built in 2014, that was him. They built cages."
Debate moderator Kristen Welker asked Trump if his administration had a plan to reunite about 550 children who had crossed the border and been separated from their parents' custody.
"Yes, we're working on it, we're trying very hard. But a lot of these kids come out without the parents, they come over through cartels, and through coyotes, and through gangs," Trump said.
Neither Jemele Hill nor Kim Cattrall had any idea what they were talking about, either.
