Woke Disney cartoon promoting Critical Race Theory TANKS—11% audience rating

"Then they say Lincoln freed the slaves," the teens rapped, "But slaves were men and women, and only we can free ourselves. Emancipation is not freedom."

Christopher Rufo tweeted, "This Disney clip is pure critical race theory, including the insane conspiracy theory that Lincoln did not free the slaves."

The Emancipation Proclamation was delivered by Lincoln in 1863 and slavery was constitutionally abolished in 1865.

"Divisive misinformation, toxic to anyone, and unbelievably inappropriate for children. Disney needs to reevaluate its current direction," one audience member wrote.

Anti-racism indoctrination and critical race theory are both forms of racial essentialism aimed at rewriting American history and redefining individuals by their racial and ethnic identity groups and then assigning them a place within predestined historical structures and hierarchies of power.

The reparations rap was part of the Proud Family season 2, which sits at an even lower rating than the overall series at 9 percent audience approval.

"Do you enjoy sitting passively while an unhinged maniac screams hateful nonsense in your face for 23 minutes straight? If yes then this show is for you. For anyone who's not a self-loathing masochist, however, The Proud Family will challenge Velma and Santa, Inc. as the worst creative endeavor in human history," another audience member wrote on Rotten Tomatoes.

Rufo also tweeted that the show was promoting the book "White Fragility" by Robin DeAngelo. The premise of the book is that a white person's defensiveness at the accusation of racism comes from their insecurity and fragility around the issue of race.

American slavery was a custom started by the British Empire and instituted in their colonies, using a supply chain heavily provided by dominant African tribes selling and bartering conquered peoples with Europeans. The 1776 Declaration of Independence announced that "all men are created equal," and during the American Revolution, all the states abolished the international slave trade, although the southern states reversed that decision shortly thereafter. During the American Civil War, which began in 1861, more Americans died in the war to free the slaves than World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam War combined.
