1 injured in North Carolina Walmart shooting, suspect at large

According to local news, the suspect and the victim knew each other, and the pair engaged in an argument that escalated at the Fayetteville Road Walmart Supercenter at 11:36 am while many shoppers were looking for Black Friday deals.

Authorities reported that the victim, who is expected to survive, was shot in the hip and had no other injuries. The victim was treated at UNC Health Southeastern and the alleged shooter is at large.

"I was scared for my life, I ran as fast as I could to get out," one shopper said while another claimed it was "a big commotion."

According to local ABC News, the suspect was seen fleeing the store in surveillance footage.

Another shopper, Kristie Branch, told ABC, "Me and the cashier looked at each other, and everybody else at the other registers their heads all went in the direction of where the sound was coming from and then I seen a man run through going to the other side of the store and all of a sudden that’s when I heard pow, pow, pow, pow, pow."

"I squatted down. I reached out to the top of my buggy and I grabbed my pocket book and I ran as fast as I could to get out of there," Branch added.

Another shopper said, "My wife started kind of panicking. And I've always been the type to stay calm. So I said 'hey, let's go' we ran out the store."

On Tuesday, Walmart manager Andre Bing allegedly went on a shooting spree in the breakroom at the back of the store in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he shot ten people, six of them fatally, before killing himself.

Bing made a "kill list," which included certain employee's names circled, shift hours, and break times.
