View on XAmid the outpouring of grief and support, the Uvalde Foundation for Kids — a 501(c)3 charity established in the aftermath of the 2022 shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas — had offered a reward for information, as well as making grief chaplains available, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
However, some have previously called into question the organization’s past claims and motives, noting a lack of transparency about its finances and fundraising activities.
"If you’re not going to be forthright and transparent, I think that’s a red flag and people should just proceed with caution,” said Jeff Dion, executive director of the Mass Violence Survivors Fund, responding to a July 2025 investigation by Maine’s WMTW after the foundation said it was fundraising in support of Texas flood victims.
