25-year-old drunk driver complains ‘like, oh my God, it’s gonna be so bad when I get out, my life is over’ after she crashed into bride and killed her on her wedding night

According to the New York Post, which obtained jailhouse recordings, Komoroski was crying when she said to her parents on the phone, "Oh my God. I just can’t believe this happened to me. Why me? I’m going to be here for years and years and years and years."

She added, "I can’t believe this is my life and my whole life is going to be over."

Her father told her to "suck it up" and "get tough," to which she responded, "I can’t. I want it to be over."

"Like, oh my God, it's gonna be so bad when I get out. Everyone's gonna be so mean to me."

In April, Komoroski was arrested after she allegedly drove her car into a golf cart in which 34-year-old Samantha Hutchinson was riding. Hutchinson was riding in the cart following her wedding reception which took place at Folly Beach. Also inside the cart were Samantha Hutchinson's husband, Aric Hutchinson, and two others. Aric Hutchinson was injured in the crash and has filed a civil suit against Komoroski.

Komoroski, who was reportedly going 65 mph in a 25 mph speed zone, was charged with one count of reckless homicide and three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death.

Komoroski refused a field sobriety test at the time of the arrest. The Post reports that she reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes when taken into jail. She was denied the use of a phone and banged her head on the nurse's desk and was eventually restrained.

She said, "I didn’t mean it to happen. I just feel like a terrible person, like, I didn’t mean for any of that to happen" and said she hopes the judge sees "how regretful and remorseful I am, and that I’m not a bad person and that I’ll never do anything bad again." She also said it was a "freak accident."

In the jailhouse calls, her father said, "You don’t need to be sorry, Jamie, this is what happened and we’re going to take care of it. We don’t care about what happened. We don’t care. We care only about you."

In a separate call, she reportedly said to friends, " There’s been people that have, like, killed people on purpose before and, like, they’ve gotten out on a bond," and told them not to be "stupid like I was because all it takes is one time."

Komoroski is being held without bail.
