“Where does that leave women women have fought so hard to get on a level playing field with men. They weren’t allowed to do anything back in the day. They were nothing,” Rademacher said.
Longtime ABC soap-opera show General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher is off the show following his noncompliance with the production's vaccine mandate, and a social media post calling Biden's Assistant HHS Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine, a gender non-conforming biological male who identifies as transgender, a "dude."
Rademacher played popular character "Jasper 'Jax' Jacks" on the daytime medical drama since 1996, and has been a regular on the show for 25 of the show's 59 seasons, according to Variety.

View on RumbleRademacher had posted to his Instagram account a meme featuring recently elected Virginia lieutenant governor Winsome Sears, the first Black woman to hold the position, Levine, a four-star admiral in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and the United States Assistant Secretary for Health.
The image's caption was: "Hello, and welcome to ClownTown, where the dude on the left is an empowering woman, and the woman on the right is a white supremacist."
According to Variety, the meme was originally posted by a conservative commentator.
Rademacher posted a video to his Instagram on Monday apologizing for "not crossing out dude" in the meme he posted.
"I do apologize for not crossing out dude, and putting transgender. So I apologize for that. Because me personally, I wouldn't have written it that way. That was somebody else's post. Again, that's not an excuse. I should have just crossed it out," said Rademacher.
Rademacher noted that the the post was meant to point out a comparison: "while it's not okay to call a black woman, a white supremacist and I don't think think either that it's okay to call a transgender and empowered woman because where does that leave women?"
"Think about that for a second. Where does that leave women women have fought so hard to get on a level playing field with men. They weren't allowed to do anything back in the day. They were nothing," he continued.
Rademacher apologized in the video to transgender General Hospital co-star Cassandra James, calling her an "absolute talent" and "very beautiful."
James previously reacted to Rademacher's post on Twitter, stating that "I am aware of a transphobic post shared by a fellow General Hospital actor. Shame on you. You have some serious unlearning and education to do."
"I feel deeply disappointed that such a public display of ignorance could come from our GH family," she continued.
Rademacher also shared a post to his Instagram on Sunday stating that he would "stand with you to fight for medical freedom."
He has reportedly been outspoken about his opposition to vaccine mandates, according to Variety.
In his Monday video, the star did not comment on his status at General Hospital. His last episode is scheduled to air on Nov. 22.
