In Monday’s White House press conference, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that a standalone bill to aid Israel would not be accepted, as it "would actually not help Israel and Ukraine."
"House Speaker Mike Johnson has said that he'll move forward with a vote on additional Israel aid, if Congress were to pass additional aid for Israel and only that, will President Biden reject it?" a reporter asked.

"You see what was happening in Ukraine. Obviously, pray people of Ukraine are fighting against a tyrant. We need to make sure that they have the assistance that they need. We saw what happened in Israel just over the weekend and the leadership that this President has shown. It would, it would actually, it would actually not help them if we do a standalone and we do not support a standalone."
The statement came after Israel was the subject of a drone and rocket attack launched by Iran over the weekend.
Biden condemned the attack and had vowed publicly to support Israel after the attack. Behind the scenes though, Biden reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not support an offensive operation against Iran.
Officials had expected that an attack could come from Iran after Israel killed two Iranian generals and several members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force in an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Syria two weeks ago.
House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Sunday that he would attempt to pass Israel aid in the chamber this week following the attack, Reuters reported.
"We're going to try again this week, and the details of that package are being put together right now. We're looking at the options, and all these supplemental issues," Johnson said on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures.
