Black, non-binary Columbia student leading Gaza Camp protest says ‘Zionists don’t deserve to live’
“I feel very comfortable, very comfortable, calling for those people to die.”

One of the students leading the antisemitic Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia University said during a live stream that “Zionists don’t deserve to live.” During an official university inquiry with Columbia’s Center for Student Success and Intervention in January, Khymani James claimed Zionists who may want to “meet up and fight” and that he “fights to kill.” The video was shared by the Daily Wire.

View on XA Columbia employee asked James if he saw that as “problematic to which James responded, “No.” James, a junior and spokesperson of the Columbia University Apartheid Divest group, who said during the hearing that his pronouns are “he/she/they” live-streamed his meeting, and doubled down on an Instagram post that triggered the inquiry.
James has been the public face of the anti-Israel protests at the university and has been one of the lead organizers of the encampment. On Wednesday, he was one of the students who held a press conference claiming that Columbia agreed not to call in police to break up the encampment.
In a recent video, James can be seen leading a group of protesters to verbally and physically push Jewish students out of their Gaza Camp demonstration.

View on XIn the video James posted to social media of his interview with officials from the school, James stated, “I feel very comfortable, very comfortable, calling for those people to die. And with that being said, Khymani is signed out.”
He added, “I think that taking someone’s life in certain case scenarios is necessary and better for the overall world,” comparing the desire to kill Zionists to killing Hitler or Haitian revolutionaries who had to “kill their masters in order to gain their independence.”
“These were masters who were white supremacists. What is a Zionist? A white supremacist. So let’s be very clear here, I’m not saying that I’m going to go out and start killing Zionists. What I am saying is that if an individual who identifies as a Zionist threatens my physical safety in person, i.e., puts their hands on me, I am going to defend myself and in that case scenario, it may come to a point where I don’t know when to stop.”
James added, “There should not be Zionists anywhere. People who hold those types of ideologies, the world is better without them. That is what my comment is indicative of, and I will stand with that.”
After the meeting, James continued speaking on his livestream and said, “Zionists don’t deserve to live comfortably, let alone Zionists don’t deserve to live. The same way we are very comfortable accepting Nazis don’t deserve to live, fascists don’t deserve to live, racists don’t deserve to live, Zionists, they shouldn’t live in this world.”
He added that he would be fine getting thrown out of the school after stating, “Be grateful that I’m not just going out and murdering Zionists. I’ve never hurt anyone in my life, and I hope to keep it that way.”
He also stated that the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “would theoretically mean that many people would live. And so murder can absolutely be justified.”
The day after Palestinian terrorists massacred over 1,200 civilians and kidnapped 250 more, James posted on X, “Free Palestine.” In November, James posted, “There is no ‘two-state solution.'”
James, who is allegedly one of the student leaders of the occupation of the campus that the university is negotiating with has also declared that the Columbia “graduation next month is NOT happening as planned,” when it was revealed that the university was hoping to have the occupation cleared to hold the ceremony.
