BREAKING: DNI declassifies document alleging Russian collusion hoax was Hillary Clinton’s idea, Obama was briefed

It was in 2016 that Clinton approved of a plan to create a scandal alleging that then Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was involved with Vladimir Putin in "hacking the Democratic National Committee."

The letter, addressed to Senator Lindsey Graham, and signed by John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence for the Trump administration, is in reference to Graham's request for Intelligence Community (IC) information on the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane Investigation. Ratcliffe declassified the following information:

"In late July 2o16, U.S. intelligence agencies obtained insight into Russian intelligence analysis alleging that U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal against U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump by typing him to Putin and the Russians' hacking of the Democratic National Committee. The IC does not know the accuracy of this allegation or the extend to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication.

"According to handwritten noted, former Central Intelligence Agency Director Brennan subsequently briefed President Obama and other senior national security officials on the intelligence, including the 'alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services.'

"On 07 September 2016, U.S. intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral to FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok regarding 'U.S. President candidate Hillary Clinton's approval of a plan concerning U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server."

The letter concludes by saying that "Attorney General Barr has advised that the disclosure of this information will not interfere with ongoing Department of Justice investigations. Additional declassification and public disclosure of related intelligence remains under consideration."

Comey will be brought before the Judiciary Committee on Wednesday to testify. Graham said "Whether these allegations are accurate is not the question. The question is did the FBI investigate the allegations against Clinton like they did Trump? If not, why not? If so, what was the scope of the investigation? If none, why was that?"

In 2016, as the election neared its close, it was revealed by the then FBI Director James Comey that Hillary Clinton had used a private server for her email correspondence including those that contained "secret" and "top secret" information.

Comey's statement concerning the email server came in July 2016. He said that "...there is evidence that [Clinton and her campaign colleagues] were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information." Comey then recommended that no charges be filed against Clinton, saying that "our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case."

Clinton's campaign manager, Robby Mook, claimed on CNN that Russia was helping Trump's campaign. Mook said that "I think when you put all this together, it's a disturbing picture, and voters need to reflect on that." In response, Trump's campaign said that Clinton was someone who "will do and say anything" to win. By October 2016, Clinton was accusing Trump of being a "puppet" of Russian president Vladimir Putin.

This story of the emails broke at the peak of the election season, and cast doubts on Clinton's candidacy for president. After allegations were made that Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the election, Democrats began to decry the revelations as to Clinton's holding classified information on her own personal server, where it was not secure, saying "but her emails!"

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
