BREAKING: Fani Willis takes the stand, reveals details about affair with Nathan Wade

Willis was asked whether she discussed the motion to disqualify that was filed in January with Wade, to which Willis said she "probably said some choice things" to him, but it wasn’t a substantive conversation.

Willis confirmed that she met Wade at a conference in October 2019, and said she found it "extremely offensive" that the defense attorney Ashley Merchant argued in the motion that she slept with Wade at the conference.

Willis, who carried on, was told by the judge to keep her answers confined to the question being asked. She said "Miss Merchant's interests are contrary to democracy, not mine."

Willis said she was introduced to Wade by Judge Reeves, and Wade handed her a business card.

Merchant said Willis and Wade started dating shortly after that, to which Willis replied "that’s one of your lies."

Willis was asked about Robin Yearti, who testified that Willis and Wade’s relationship began in 2019. She said she took over her friend's lease at a condo in March or April of 2021, and paid her through CashApp.

Willis said in April of 2022 they went on their first vacation together to Tennessee for his birthday. They also went on two cruises out of Miami, and stayed at least one night in Miami.

For an October cruise, Wade paid for the flight and the cruise. When asked how it was paid for, "I gave him his money back."

"Whatever he told me it was, I gave him the money back," she said, adding that I don’t do my friends like that, so if you tell me it’s a G, then you’re gonna get $1,000, whatever it is."

Willis also testified that she took Wade to Belize for his 50th birthday, adding that "I did 50 very big."

She said she paid him back in cash, but did not take cash out from the bank. When pressed on this, Willis said "I have money in my house."

She said her father says people should "have at least six months in cash at your house at all times."

"I would advise it to all women."

Willis said she doesn’t think she has "handed him more than $2,500 in a reimbursement," adding that for a Napa Valley trip, she didn't pay him more than $500.

Willis testified that her security team has never taken Wade to any place she lived, adding "That is never in the history of ever happened ever."

She said that Wade may have ridden with her and the security team to a rare meal, but other than that they wouldn’t have driven him.

"So your office objected to us getting Delta records for flights you may have taken," Merchant noted.

"I object to you getting records. You’ve been intrusive into people's personal lives, you're confused, you think I'm on trial. These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020 I'm not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.

Willis said the romantic relationship between her and Wade ended sometime in the summer of 2023, but added that "I feel very indebted to Mr Wade for taking on the task of this job" and that she respects him.

After being pressed on whether Wade visited her condo, the court took a five-minute break. On return, the judge said, "we all know what professionalism looks like" and "devoting ourselves to the rule of law and property. I would urge everyone to keep those principles in mind starting with the fact that we won’t talk over each other."

"How often did MR Wade visit you at a place where you were living," Merchant asked.

"So you want to start with the lie that he lived with me?" Willis responded.

Willis argued with Merchant, and the judge stepped in and gave her a warning.

When asked if she kept track of the money she gave Wade, Willis responded, "I’ve only given him cash as I mentioned three or four times, there’s no ledger."

Merchant referenced a video from 2020 in which Willis said she wouldn’t have sex with her employees. Willis said that Wade was not an employee.

Willis said that she, as a woman, believed the relationship ended in August 2023 after a "hard conversation," while adding that Wade may say the relationship ended in June or July as the physical portion of the relationship ceased.

"I don't need anything from a man, a man is not a plan, a man is a companion. And so there was tension always in our relationship, which is why I gave him his money back."

Sadow asked whether Willis had contact with Wade in 2020, to which she replied that it was limited, as Wade had caner, adding that "I’m not gonna emasculate a black man."
