BREAKING: GoFundMe for girlfriend of far-left activist brutally murdered in Brooklyn raises over $50,000 in 24 hours

The fundraiser, set up on Tuesday, has received over $54,000.

"We are a collective of Ryan's close friends, reeling from a brutal loss. We are asking for your help on behalf of his partner in easing the burden and stress of this horrifying situation so that we can have space and time to grieve, and remember Ryan. Immediate needs are to offset the costs of working class people taking time off of work to properly mourn," the fundraiser states.

"If you Google 'Ryan Carson', you'll hear (and now see) about the tragedy that struck on early Monday morning. But if you look past the breaking news, you'll see news on his legislative victories, you'll probably find his social media accounts filled with thoughts and memories, and you'll find collections of his artistic works to date. We hope you may find his thoughts on mutual aid, his works of advocacy, and understand that his radical principles of community care, justice, and dismantling an individualized profit-centered way of life are worth carrying forward in our own communities," the fundraiser page added.

Morales, who has been depicted wearing an "ACAB" shirt, wrote in June of 2020 following a night protesting the death of George Floyd which turned to riots across the country, "a boston police officer very nearly ran me over last night."

"The police do not protect you," the post concluded. "ACAB. BLM. hope you’re on the right side of history."

In posts regarding Carson’s death, those who knew him called for his work in "social justice" to be continued.

"Let us dedicate outselves to continuing his life’s work, cut short far too soon: to harm reduction; to humane drug policy; to creating a more caring society for all of us," wrote Julia Salazar.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
