Harmeet Dhillon has resigned from her role as the Department of Justice’s assistant attorney general for civil rights. Sources told Fox News that she issued her resignation on Thursday.
Dhillon assumed office in April of 2025, running the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division.
Four people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg earlier on Thursday that Dhillon had told allies that she would be leaving the department after the midterms, which took place on Tuesday and resulted in a wave of Democrat victories.
This is a breaking story.
