BREAKING: LA Dodgers pitcher releases statement slamming team’s decision to honor anti-Christian ‘drag nuns’ organization

Turning Point USA Faith contributor Sean Feucht posted the statement on Twitter saying, My friend and MLB pitcher Blake Treinen asked that I post this statement for him in regards to the Dodgers honoring of the sisters of perpetual indulgence. #HoldTheLine.”

Treinen wrote in the letter, “I am disappointed to see the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence being honored as heroes at Dodger Stadium. Many of their performances are blasphemous, and their work only displays hate and mockery of Catholics and the Christian faith.”

“I understand that playing baseball is a privilege, and not a right,” Treinen added.

“My convictions in Jesus Christ will always come first. Since I have been with the Dodgers they have been at the forefront of supporting a wide variety of groups. However, inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to perform disenfranchises a large community and promotes hate of Christians and people of faith. This single event alienates the fans and supporters of the Dodgers, Major League Baseball, and professional sports.”

“People like baseball for its entertainment value and competition. The fans do not want propaganda or politics forced on them. The debacle with Bud Light and Target should be a warning to companies and professional sports to stay true to their brand and leave the propaganda and politics off the field.”

Treinen continued, “I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. I believe the word of God is true, and in Galatians 6:7 it says, ‘Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked; a man reaps what he sows.’ This group openly mocks Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of my faith, and I want to make it clear that I do not agree with nor support the decision of the Dodgers’ to ‘honor’ the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

“This group openly mocks Jesus Christ, the cornerstone of my faith, and I want to make it clear that I do not agree with nor support the decision of the Dodgers’ to ‘honor’ the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15,” Treinen concluded,

Treinen’s statement comes amid the backlash the Los Angeles Dodgers franchise has received in response to inviting a group of "drag nuns" to their Pride Night next month.

In response to the outrage, the team recently announced a relaunch of their Christian Faith and Family Day on July 30.

The event was announced after the Dodgers reinvited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to be given an award at their June 16 Pride Night after the group’s invitation was rescinded after complaints from faith leaders.

The group of drag queens who dress as nuns are scheduled to receive the Community Hero Award for the "… life-saving work that they have done tirelessly for decades."

The Dodgers said in a statement on Twitter, “After much thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities, honest conversations within the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and generous discussions with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the Los Angeles Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families.”

“In the weeks ahead, we will continue to work with our LGBTQ+ partners to better educate ourselves, find ways to strengthen the ties that bind, and use our platform to support all our fans who make up the diversity of the Dodgers Family,” the statement concluded.

Since reinviting the group to the night, the team is now facing calls for a boycott by religious leaders.

It was also recently revealed that President Joe Biden's disgraced nuclear waste official Sam Brinton was previously a member of the drag nuns Washington, DC chapter.
