View on XNavarro’s prison consultant Sam Mangel told CNN that Navarro worked as a law library clerk during his time at the prison. "Everybody has to work. It gave him a chance to write," Mangel said, who added that Navarro was well-liked and respected by the inmates in the prison. "When I went to visit him, guys were coming up to him, high-fiving him," Mangel said.
Navarro is one of two Trump advisors to be imprisoned for refusing to comply with subpoenas from the committee. Steve Bannon reported to a Connecticut prison on July 1 to begin serving his four-month sentence.
